Several manufacturing processes are used to beneficially influence the surface and subsurface properties of manufactured parts. Different aspects such as topography or resulting residual stresses addressed using different processes. This paper presents first approach for pulsed mechanical treatment (PMST), a new process aiming combine mechanics in deep rolling shot hammer peening.
